6 Things i hate about care.com and These experiences could HAPPEN TO YOU NEXT if you're not careful!

Have you ever wanted to work and put money into your bank account but instead shot yourself in the foot?

I have, Twice to be exact, and I can tell you from personal experience that it does not make you feel any better especially if it was one after another and you didn't get the wake-up call until it was almost too late or considered too late to do anything about it.
As an unemployed student from the first time I had turned 16 nearly three years ago to now; an 18-year-old going on 19 in some months and days away who still hadn't had her first job is bad for anyone especially for someone in my age group. (Mid/Late Teens to Young adult) that would be from the moment you turn sixteen years of age until possibly early or mid-twenties.

****disclaimer****
The first part was written just a few months before my nineteenth birthday, I am now currently close to twenty years old, about six months to be exact, so I'm assuming this was written in the 2015-2016 school year.
Aka the actual year, I graduated, but that's a different issue.

The memory isn't as fresh as it was when I was first writing this post considering how long it has been and how hard I was dedicating myself to do A, B, C, D, and the rest of the alphabet I've been unable to touch any of these posts.
Back to the story, well actually let me start it first...
It began on a Wednesday, I was searching for a job, and I was getting desperate from applying to places all throughout the city and in the near by area. I searched through newspapers and scrolled online for hours until i see it, "Babysitter Needed for (Town Name)" Immediately i thought to myself "Hey. I have experience with kids, I did watch a sixth grader from girl scouts that one time and got paid very well. And I watch or atleast, keep track of the children at the temple. Plus there was that time i watched the neighbors who lived next door, although i didn't get paid..i should've." I remember rambling that entire dialogue; only because that would be something i'd say even now. and so i clicked the link towards the site. Little did i know what was happening next.

Now, I consider myself smart-I was and i still am an intelligent young woman when it comes to bookwork and those around me. For someone who just missed graduation with her own class by a year due to circumstances it would only make sense that I'm still suffering from the trauma I've recieved a long with the dissapointment and feeling like a failure I felt like if I got a job doing something I know or even watching pets would actually start the healing process and help move forward from the problems that held me back.
The Link to the site was care.com, and it seemed like an easy website to navigate before creating an account, although afterward, it becomes more confusing and impossible to understand.

When I first joined and created a profile I had some things I already didn't like about it:
1.You have to continually update your schedule.
If you don't update your calendar for the month, you'll never be able to talk to a potential client. You HAVE to keep repeating this process for month after month, how can anybody willingly do that when it takes possibly over an hour to fill out the form required and the hours you're available for something you don't know is happening yet. You can't schedule a relative passing away or childbirth.
2. If you want exposure, Pay for it.
Yes, Pay them money, so you're assuring everybody that you don't have a criminal record via background check, get featured in search results, have a "free" motor vehicles check and so much more 'exciting' benefits.
YES, YOU THERE, THE DESPERATE CHUMP LOOKING FOR A JOB, GIVE US EITHER $20,$15 OR $10 OF THE MONEY YOU BARELY HAVE FOR EITHER 6 MONTHS,3, MONTHS OR A MONTH! ONLY WHEN IT HAS ITS 50% OFF HOLIDAY SPECIAL THOUGH BUT OTHER THAN THAT ITS STILL $20.
Does that sound worth it to you, investing in a piece of shit site that should already have features for newcomers and explain how the site works and why you need to do these things in a more simple yet understanding way?
3. These people are the top (blank) in your area!
How is this supposed to help anybody?
telling us who the top dogs are terrible for any newcomer who just wants a job. it really makes you question especially in this day and age if these people are even real.
ARE THESE PEOPLE REAL?
I don't know, because no one messages through their system or even talks to one another especially if you're searching for a job or just trying to inquire about a possible option.
4. Moderator Filters, Lackthereof.
Speaking of the messaging system,
Their "Blog" how they're shitty. For more information on this please read the original article i got inspired from, it helped me realize that earlier on when i was starting this post many years ago is that i was fed up. You should be too after reading all of this. LINK on PAGE 2
5. Interested in a listing? Too bad.
No responses to any inquiries made.
you'll never get any replies or answers, and if you do get an inquiry its 100% Scams,Frauds or a gateway into illegal prostitution into many countries to smuggle some crack cocaine.

6. This website is a fraud: or it feels like one.
How you know when a website is a scam-
  1. The Domain Name – A lot of fraudulent websites will use a domain name similar to a brand name. I have seen fake sites related to Calvin Klein, Nike, Buffalo, and more recently, Salomon. These domain names might be www.nikesuperdiscounts or www.buffalocollection or www.salomonshop (these are not real sites, but examples). If a company has a trademark on their name, their website usually matches the company name. Another thing is, You can easily Buy a domain from GoDaddy.com for a cheap price and that includes .com, .org, .net and many more addresses to trick you into thinking it must be legitimate
  2. No Contact InformationIf the website does not have a contact us page, or it if does and it only offers a form to fill out, this is a strong indicator of fraud. Any company offering products or services; should have a place of business (location) as well as a phone number and email to contact them. If none of this information is available, then they likely just want your credit card info. Here is an example I found from a fake website that does not have any contact details. Although the website provides so many "helpful" tips and guides through their shitty blog a supposed hotline is available via phone number. However, if it is like the rest of the site and those who use it, it's untrustworthy.

3.Check the Grammar and Spelling -
If the fake website is attempting to present itself as an American or Canadian business, they will usually use English text. However, there will quite often be horrible grammar and spelling mistakes on the website. Many of these mistakes would be obvious to a native speaker of English; excessive use of poor grammar and spelling should be an instant red flag. Honestly, this is the most obvious of the bunch, unless you're how I am and give the benefit of the doubt after all, America is a huge melting pot and to comment on someone's poor English would be rude and it would be as if you were mocking them especially if you have terrible english yourself or if they have a disorder.

These are just three of the seven i found whilst researching this and reading an article that WILL BE SOURCED BELOW ON PAGE TWO ALONG WITH EVERYTHING THAT WAS TALKED ABOUT. The italic's are how i viewed these items from the author and i do admit, she's pretty cool.
I thought i had a cleaning job shortly after i signed up on the website.
I assumed the best in people which was a tragic mistake. For one, not everyone has the best english and two, they were so vague which i was cautious of. Blinded in my desperation i accepted a cleaning job and then another one to work as an assistant and because of a non-existing bank account #. I almost lost the very little money i have/(had). Luckily the banker and another woman interfered otherwise, i would have lost everything. That's just before the constant harrassment of the scammers who want to steal your money don't use the websites to "contact" you but instead sends emails and text messages because they know you'll respond. but who's to say that you wouldn't respond using the the sites messaging system? I'm assuming its because care.com shows your phone number and email if you wish to get any exposure.
The only two experiences i had from the website nearly took what little that exists in my account.
And shortly after, More messages from these D-Bags and AssHats kept coming along.
Those were only some of the problems with this breeding ground of scammers and those commiting fraud. Its worrying to see that not only are those who are looking for jobs getting tricked but children are being put in danger because of this and nothing is being done about it.

If we all group together we could prevent many scams and any possible child endangerment or animal abuse from happening. I'm starting a Change.org Petition to have Care.com Removed as i am not the only one who experienced/experiences these types of issues. Its Misleading and It's a low thing to do to those of all ages.
